Master Plan website!

The St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE) Management and Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners have begun the process to prepare a new comprehensive Airport Master Plan and Airport Layout Plan drawing set. The last update of the Airport Master Plan for PIE was completed in January 2004.  Since that time there have been a number of changes at the airport, as well as in the aviation industry.

On this website, you will be able to:

  • Learn about the Master Plan process.
  • Find out about opportunities for Public Participation.
  • Read Master Plan related documents as they become available.
  • Provide feedback and comments.

This website will be updated on a regular basis as new information becomes available.

Airport Master Plan Public Outreach

Public Workshop #2 - November 5, 2018

On November 5, 2018, PIE hosted Public Workshop #2 to provide information on the assessment of existing facilities and potential alternatives for improvements. The workshop was conducted in an open house format where the public was invited to attend between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the Hilton St. Petersburg Carillon Park. The presentation  boards can be downloaded from the Documents Tab of this website.

Working Paper #2 Now Available

The second working paper of the PIE Airport Master Plan process can be downloaded from the Documents tab of this website.  This document contains Chapter 4:  Facility Assessment and Requirements, Appendix D: Terminal Access Roads Supplemental Data, and Appendix E: Sustainability (Baseline Assessment only). As with all elements of the master plan study, comments and/or suggestions can be submitted via the methods described under the Public Participation tab. The next Public Workshop is tentatively scheduled for November 2018 when the airport facility requirements and development alternatives will be presented.
